Fumigation for Export
Fumigation is a method of pest control that uses a gas to kill pests within an enclosed space to eliminate pests and diseases, particularly in agriculture, storage, and transportation on imported goods. In order to ensure that pest do not transfer from one country to the other, through the shipment of goods, some countries require fumigation on imported goods. ISPM 15 is a widely recognized international standard for fumigation of wood packaging material, while AQIS standards are specific to Australia.
